Mission Statement

With the principles of 'Every Child Matters' in mind:-

We recognise that children come to our setting bringing their own diverse needs, experiences and achievements that affect their learning.

 We believe that children are natural learners. They are born with an innate drive to learn from the world around them. They show their desire to learn new things through curiosity, interest and enthusiasm.

 Children make no distinction between play and work. Therefore we will provide opportunities for play that will build on their first hand experiences so that the children of Veryan and Portloe will be able to make sense of the world around them, helping them to grow, develop and learn.

 Staffing is vital to the success of this setting. Staff are valued and training is provided to enhance the children’s experiences and meaningful play.

 As a parent run setting we recognise the influence and importance that parents have on the development of their child. We recognise that Parents are ‘first educators’. To this end we will consult and involve them in the planning and delivery of the experiences their children are given. We will endeavour to provide and signpost support and guidance for our parents.

 We aim to serve our community by providing education of the highest quality within a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment to all.
